MEDICAL CONCERNS

One significant advantage to doing an independent adoption is the greater access to medical records. There are cases where the medical records available to the orphanage are incorrect or incomplete. Without this information, it is difficult, if not impossible, to determine what treatment your child may require after adoption.

Even though your child can be examined after coming home, historical information is often a key part of an effective diagnosis.

The Project has the capability to obtain more accurate and complete background information on your child, including medical information.

In addition, the Project has the resources to conduct "in-country" examinations, which are then evaluated by Dr. Federici, who prepares a report for the adoptive family.
